Downtown's Oldest Neon Beacon

One of the biggest conundrums in the Valley is the New Windsor Hotel in downtown Phoenix. The hotel is both the city's oldest building offering overnight lodging and has one of its most impressive neon displays. No boutique hostelry, the hotel is a single-room occupancy (SRO) for those down on their luck. Read about the hotel's intriguing history in a snippet from my editor's column in the Winter issue of Arizona Contractor & Community Magazine L.L.C. and consider a subscription to this publication detailing Arizona history and construction as part of your cyber Monday shopping.
