For the members of the National Women in Roofing AZ, philanthropy and giving back to communities statewide holds a special place in their hearts.
At the end of 2017, NWiRAZ President, Valorie Miller of JBS Roofing was approached about the roofing needs at the Home of Hope in Casa Grande. For over 15 years, Home of Hope has disciple and cared for women and mothers to overcome their life controlling addictions, restore family relations, obtain and retain employment, and become productive members of their community. In 2016, Home of Hope’s roof was severally damaged in a storm that caused $10,000 in interior damages forcing them to shut down rooms that were effected until the roof was repaired.
Employees of JBS Roofing travelled to the Home of Hope to assess the roof. Mrs. Miller brought their findings before the NWiRAZ committee and the group voted to take on the project. Members of the committee volunteered their time and product, as well as made additional outreach to secure the needed resources.
Once the roof replacement is completed, Home of Hope will be able to reopen and utilize the rooms providing services to more women and children in need.
At the time of this media release, the roof repairs were already in progress. NWiRAZ would like to acknowledge the following companies for their involvement and support:
APOC
Elite Roofing Supply
FT Synthetics
JBS Roofing Co., Inc.
