McCarthy Building Companies Inc. (www.mccarthy.com) recently hired Christine Mostaert as vice president of finance for the Southwest region.
In this role, Mostaert will oversee the financial and operational results for a geographic area with revenue of more than $1 billion annually, which includes Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado and Utah. She will also provide operational leadership to McCarthy’s Renewable Energy team as a result of her experience working on the often-complex financial aspects of solar projects.
Mostaert has more than 25 years experience in controller and director of finance roles for major construction companies based in Phoenix, Des Moines and Minneapolis.
“Christine will lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning for our Southwest region,” said Justin Kelton, president of McCarthy Building Companies’ Southwest region. “With her diverse construction-related finance background, we are excited to bring her on board as a financial partner.”
Mostaert will be an active participant in the McCarthy Partnership for Women, a national resource group designed to further strengthen a company culture where the best women want to come, stay and grow in their careers, as well as to more effectively promote the industry to the future workforce.
She will also be involved in McCarthy Heart Hats, the volunteer-based community outreach arm of McCarthy Building Companies that includes McCarthy employees and their family members who support the communities in which they live, work and play by volunteering for community projects and fundraising efforts.
Mostaert earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Iowa State University.
