Suntec Concrete added to its leadership depth with the naming of industry veteran Doug Archibald as Director of Business Development and Construction. Based in Salt Lake City, Archibald will be a critical part of Suntec’s growing presence in Utah and Idaho. In this role, Archibald will lead the business development efforts for Suntec. He will also work closely with the preconstruction teams and be a resource for the clients on projects from start to finish. Archibald will play a critical role in ensuring the project’s overall success by providing leadership, direction, and support to his team.
“I am super excited to join the fine folks at Suntec Concrete,” Archibald said. “I have watched them grow in Utah for the past five years and am impressed with the quality of people and the quality of work. Suntec Concrete is a business I am proud to put my name with.”
Archibald is a Navy brat, growing up on both coasts before settling down in the west. He received his Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University – Idaho. He went on to get his Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. He has been in the construction industry for more than two decades, getting his start as an electrician apprentice. Since that time, he's had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, in a variety of roles, in many places. For the past decade, Archibald worked for the world's largest building materials manufacturer, as the Director of Business Development. The relationships built over the past two decades will be instrumental for growth at Suntec.
“We are excited for Doug and grateful for the opportunities it brings to our clients and Suntec alike,” said Suntec President and CEO Derek Wright. “It truly is an amazing opportunity for all.”
Suntec has seen more and more opportunities arising throughout the western United States, notably in Salt Lake City and Boise, Idaho. Archibald’s background in preconstruction, project management, and material manufacturing makes him well-equipped to guide projects forward and ensure successful completion. Combined with his long track record of business development success, Archibald is an ideal addition to the growing Suntec team.
When not helping clients with their construction needs, Archibald can be found with his family and friends in the mountains or deserts that surround him.
